Tuck Everlasting the Musical on Broadway !

When your a mom of multiple children it becomes hard to have one on one time with each so when TheMomsNetwork invited to see if amazing play we jumped to the opportunity. So my husband and I took our 13 year old Amaya to see it. Quality time is often hard to gather when you have three children  so a day out to a broadway show which happened to be my first was fantastic to share it with my loves.

This has by far always been my favorite book and movie so to see it come to life as a musical was truly amazing.

All the characters from the play where great, this play was very funny and sad but overall was simply wonderful. The musical is based on Tuck Everlasting is an American children’s novel written by Natalie Babbitt and published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 1975

It explores the concept of immortality.. It has sold over two million copies so no wonder the play was made.

The production stars three-time Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello as Mae Tuck ( Finding Neverland), Outer Critics Circle nominee Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Jesse Tuck ( Newsies), two-time Emmy Award winner Michael Park as Angus Tuck ( How To Succeed…), three-time Tony Nominee Terrence Mann as The Man in the Yellow Suit ( Pippin), Fred Applegate as Constable Joe ( The Last Ship), Robert Lenzi as Miles Tuck ( South Pacific), Michael Wartella as Hugo ( Wicked) and Valerie Wright as Mother ( Elf The Musical), Pippa Pearthree as Nana ( Noises Off).

Eleven-year-old, Atlanta-based actress Sarah Charles Lewis plays the central role of Winnie Foster, the young girl who befriends a unique family that has gained eternal life by drinking from a spring that flows from a tree in the woods.

The production features scenic design by Walt Spangler ( A Christmas Story The Musical, Desire Under The Elms), costume design by Tony Award winner Gregg Barnes ( Something Rotten!, Aladdin, Kinky Boots), lighting design by Tony Award winner Kenneth Posner ( Finding Neverland, Kinky Boots, Wicked), sound design by Tony Award winner Brian Ronan ( Beautiful The Carole King Musical, The Book of Mormon), orchestrations by John Clancy ( Fun Home, Shrek) and musical supervision by Rob Berman ( The Pajama Game, eight seasons as music director of Encores!).
